You’ve won my love, so what’s the next step now?
We’ve gone as far as we can somehow
Without causing pain, and putting strain
On our loved ones at home, who still remain
Loyal and trusting, innocent and true
It would break their hearts if they ever knew
What can we do?
We knew at the start how these things go,
A smile across a bar, then the next thing you know
It’s weekly meetings full of surprise,
But at home a succession
Of lies and disguise, staring into their eyes.
It would break their hearts if they ever knew
What can we do?
We’ll call it quits and stop it now
There’s the children to consider, and anyhow
Perfection in love is just for the dreamer
But I’ll never know why the grass
Always looks greener
It would break their hearts if ever they knew
And that wouldn’t do!
Ride this storm and calm will come,
After the rain there’s always the sun.
Don’t let your efforts go to waste,
Think things through, there is no haste.
What an empire you have made,
Don’t let your love now start to fade.
Life is full of peaks and troughs,
Many a hic-cup and plenty of coughs!
Love each other, please stay strong,
And soon you will be back on song.

He loved her like there was no tomorrow
And maybe that is the most honest form of love
To take the moment as it presents itself
To seize the opportunity
To not ask questions and therefore remove all guilt.
But as with every high point, a low must follow
And then comes the abyss
Trotting back and forth, always on the move.
Life untangling in their head
Demons dancing
Voices shouting
Is my Father dead?
Going to and fro, causing much alarm
Don’t let them stray beyond those gates
They won’t return
They never do
The fuss that it creates
Rushing here and there, on a mindless mission
Searching for the great unknown
Decades lost
At such a cost
In their head, they’re all alone
Sitting never still, always on a journey
Into the past they dash
Frustration shows
And temper yells
As once again their memories crash
Going to their grave, so bravely, but not yet
Their bodies are strong indeed
It’s just their mind
How life’s unkind
Please help them God we plead

Oranges and pears
Who really cares?
Lemons and peaches
Whoever reaches?
Coconuts and mangoes
Who really knows
Where in the end
Everyone goes?
Who gives a fig
If the world is too big?
Give me a raspberry
To blow in the wind.

Don’t speak to me now,
I’m deep in thought-
A sort of waking dream!
Don’t look at me now,
I’m lost in a trance-
Sat by a babbling stream!
To tell the truth, I lied before.
I didn’t think you’d get to know.
It simply was to save my skin.
But even so – it was a sin.
She was a virgin of her own choosing.
Not yet deflowered.
A fortress of protection,
or maybe a sexual coward?
An heiress of un-trodden sand.
Her body a temple
A shrine
A wonderland of undiscovered treasure
And only she held the key in her hand
She had a sharp side to her nature
It came from her mother’s side.
But thankfully her father’s gentleness
calmed the tempestuous tide

Go away, you are much too young for me,
You’re asking for trouble, so best leave things be.
It’s fun to flirt, until someone gets hurt
So please, just go away from me.
I know older women you find more appealing,
You say they make love with a lot more feeling.
I know you’re passionate, I’ve heard you talk
But for your sake now – little boy –just walk!
I felt it the first time I held your hand,
That sexual attraction, that nobody planned.
So I’m begging you to just leave through that door,
As I’m finding this feeling so hard to ignore!
Please go now, you’re just too much to resist,
I’ve known it ever since the first time we kissed.
But if in your mind you’re really quite certain,
Then you go upstairs, whilst I draw the curtain….
