Don’t sit there looking all superior,

and lost in your newly found zone.

Your parents have come to visit,

and enjoy an hour with you alone.

 

They are thrilled you’ve made it to Uni

– a life that they never knew.

The last thing they deserve is,

a crappy attitude from you!

 

It’s time to just ‘get over yourself’,

and give ‘window glancing’ a miss,

and cease shrugging shoulders in boredom,

thinking, ‘if only my butt, they would kiss’!
