A family member
with a heart of gold.
Years of devotion
and joy untold.
Never moody
or ever blue.
A wonderful temperament
and love so true.
Loyalty and trust
so paramount.
Always on you, we knew
we could count.
We couldn’t forsake you
when your illness came.
Because to us you were
exactly the same.
We battled through
those difficult days.
Together we survived
and developed new ways.
Though you’re gone now Megan
you’ll always be
the light in our life
though you couldn’t see.
