The toast has all gone soggy

The cereal has turned to mush.

It’s always the same at breakfast time,

as we charge about in a manic rush

The trains are always jam packed

And on the motorway there’s a crash

It’s a miracle we get to work on time.

as we set about our daily dash

The planes have all been diverted

Some cancelled because of the fog

It’s a clever man who dons a track suit,

and to the office, decides to jog.

Some folks leave their cars at home

and stick up their thumbs in hope of a hike

Whilst fitter people than you and I

prefer to get there by bike

But get there we do, any which way,

we complete the daily grind

Like an army of ants going underground

as we slowly go out of our mind
