Suffice it to say,
there’s been enough said.
So we’ll lick our wounds,
and lightly tread.
We’ll agree to differ,
and hold our tongues.
No point in chanting
those archaic songs.
Life must go on,
the cat must be fed.
Let’s call it a day,
and retreat to bed
