Oh fantasy,
that is blind love
for now
and nothing more than
passion anyhow.
A broken promise
and forgotten vow.
For sake of sanity
exit with a bow.

Once upon a deadline, when
she was running short on time,
and choices weren’t an option
and she’d lost a love sublime.
She came to the conclusion
that her life was now her own, with
friends submerged in parenthood
and others, she’d outgrown.
Once upon a deadline, she
got the urge to travel on, though
the love she knew she’d lost,
in her mind would linger on.
She came to the conclusion
as she trod a new stepping stone,
that no-one else could take his place
and the future she would face alone.
Here comes Moonhead,
so I guess it’s time I should leave.
He wants you in before midnight
and your Papa, you mustn’t deceive.
The problem with
deleting heartache
is that it remains in the
memory’s hard drive.

Eager Willy
said to Jilly
‘I’ll warm you up
when the weather
turns chilly’.
Cautious Jilly
said ‘Don’t be silly,
stop horsing around
I’m not that kind of filly’.
To all those guys whose bums I nipped,
when young and out on a bender, I do
apologise whole heartedly, in this note
addressed ‘From an anonymous sender’.
To all those guys I flirted with and to
whom, in the end, I wouldn’t surrender,
I now apologise as I roll my eyes and
think of myself as a sad pretender.
But to all those guys who took me on,
including the one who banged his head
on the fireplace fender, I now apologise
unreservedly, if I mistook your wink
to mean something more tender.

In moments of preferred solitude
she sat amongst the hibiscus
reflecting on her life and
wondering if the choices she’d
made were for the best, and if
the time was now right to tell him,
and get it off her chest.
Whether it’s short lived or
it lasts a lifetime, to have found
true love just the once is the
most wonderful feeling on earth.
If only instincts were acted upon.
If only courage could replace fear.
The first step is worth a million more,
and really, what’s left for you here?
If only hardships were delete able.
If only strength could be gained from a tear.
The first kiss is worth a million more
So leave now whilst the path is clear.

Raunchy Roxy, giving it some welly
on saturday night in front of the telly.
Dancing naked, apart from her beads
which she expertly manoeuvres as
her hungry man pleads.
She prances left and right – and the beads
flying over her shoulder, as excitement
starts to build, and she feels a little bolder.
‘Come and get me, big boy’ she exclaims
with wild desire, as her beads go whizzing
passed him – her hungry eyes on fire.
‘That vodka and coke was worth every dime’
her man thinks as he watches
Roxys body, on him climb.
The beads create the mood as she caresses
him with pleasure. ‘Oh bloody hell’ he thinks –
to the occasion can he measure?
He really doesn’t stand a chance,
her beads just drive her wild. Maybe they
were a fetish, she had when once a child?
Next day the beads have vanished, they
are safely tucked away, and her man crawls
from the sheets – he’s lived to see another day.
He smiles throughout the week, he really
loves his beaded lover, though he worries
it takes so long, from the ordeal, to recover!
