In 98, ‘The Flame Still Burns’
sang Jimmy Nail with Strange Fruit.
In 2010 we heard Owl City
at No.2 with ‘Fireflies’ – hoot.
In 96, Fine Young Cannibals
had a Top Twenty hit with ‘The Flame’.
In 85 ‘The Heat Is On’ sang Glenn Frey –
always at the top of his game.
At Number One in 68 came ‘Fire’
from The Crazy World of Arthur Brown.
Close by, The Move with ‘Fire Brigade’
riding high at Number 3 – hit town.
In 92 ‘Fire’ by Prodigy
made it as high as Number11.
But in 96 with ‘Fire Starter’ at No.1
they found their path to heaven.
In 82, Imagination gave us
‘In The Heat Of The Night’.
‘On Fire’ in 04, was Lloyd Banks,
setting the Top Twenty alight.
In 70, melodic James Taylor,
gave us ‘Fire and Rain’.
In 77, ‘Too Hot To Handle by Heatwave,
in the last carriage of this chart train.
