He fills his mind with a million things
and follows each job through to the
smallest detail. Being both pernickety
and a perfectionist, he still lives in a
regimented world of orderliness, otherwise
his mind would drift back to the past-
and that wouldn’t do!
Soldier on the front line
So young and brave is he.
With a fearless vulnerability
Please god, bring him home to me.

It’s too late to think laterally
when horizontal you lay.
It’s too soon to celebrate the harvest
until you’ve gathered in the hay.
In principle, I suppose it has merit,
though it’s a little far off the mark.
To be honest, it’s a load of rubbish.
It’s souless and lacks any spark.
