He’s worked his fingers to the bone.
The length and breadth of the country he’s travelled.
He has been pro-active in every way,
as the horrors of the world unravelled.
He has overcome illness.
He has dealt with grief.
He has tackled troubles first hand,
and proved himself a worthy chief.
He is loving the job,
that he was born to do.
His efforts must be rewarded,
when another term is due.
His energy is unfailing.
He keeps us out of the mire.
To make Britain great again,
is his only desire.
Who else is there, I ask,
crazy enough to want his position?
Let the lad carry on,
he has shown his contrition.

In 60, ‘Wild One’, rose to No.7,
followed at No.22, with Volare.
Also in 60, ‘Swinging School’ made No.44,
and then reaching No.12, came ‘Sway’.
In 61, ‘Good Time Baby’, peaked at No.42,
And in 62, ‘Teach Me To Twist’, rose to No. 45
for Chubby Checker & Bobby Rydell,
and was his last hit on Columbia to arrive.
Next in 62, ‘Jingle Bell Rock’
was a Top 40, now on Cameo Parkway.
And in 63, ‘Forget Him’, peaked at No.13,
also on Cameo Parkway, being his last hit in the UK.
Thank you for the fab music
