‘Amazing’ is such an overused word.
‘A thousand per cent’ is a nonsensical figure.
From now on I prefer to use simply ‘wow’,
even though that is hardly de rigueur.
No need for touchy-feely stuff
No need to step out of line
A union of minds can be enough,
when two hearts as one, combine.
Being amongst loved ones,
friends and twits,
is better than being lonesome
and out of ones wits.
The joy of souls re-united
The coming together of minds
The ecstasy beyond euphoric, that
true friendship, with time, only binds.
After two become one,
when the loving has gone,
and you’re left in limbo,
yet must carry on.
Just think of the good times,
before life became bleak,
when warmth under the sheets,
you both used to seek.
So fast it appeared, leaving no time to think
A love made aware by a meaningful blink
A future secured with indelible ink,
leaving one quite amazed and tickled pink.
To discover one is truly loved
is the most wonderful feeling on earth.
To know time nor distance can break that bond,
gives life such meaning and worth.
The re-affirmation of what was set in stone
takes the chill off a wintry evening, when
one sits huddled all alone.
Two clouds collided and from
the sky came rain.
Two hearts touched as one
and healed the pain.

That result will count at the end of the season
It’s the pivotal game to turn fortunes around,
and take us off the foot of the table, and bring
smiling faces back to the ground.
