Some sparkling razzmatazz is due.
A change of mind-set a must.
Go forward now and don’t look back.
And in your own judgement trust.
It was only a trickle,
but the lemon pickle
made all the difference
to the dish.
It was only a mutter,
but the overheard utter
made all the difference
to the wish.
Close the book, the story’s told.
Why re-live the agony?
Why shoulder all the blame?
If you read the book a thousand times,
the ending would be the same.
You’ve got two seconds to say yes or no.
The answer we need to be clear.
Don’t shilly-shally up Quaver Street.
The taxpayer needs to hear.
In just one sentence tell us the facts.
Is it true, what we already fear?
Don’t babble about on Helium Street.
Are things as bad as they seem to appear?
Courtship with all its frilly bits,
like wining and dining in style.
Reality with all its chilly bits,
ironically, you just have to smile.
Acceptance of the situation
is the way to battle through.
Satisfaction at the end of each day,
will help start tomorrow anew.
If you get the right tools for the job,
it will simplify the task,
and you’ll do yourself a big favour,
if you invest in a safety mask.
A world of peril in a Triumph Herald,
before seat belts were ever invented.
A rendezvous for a stolen kiss,
if, on the first date she consented.
We’ll have time to study the options
once the morris dancers have gone.
So pencil it in for now,
we’ll give it some thought later on.

In the stillness of the night,
as I slept the deepest sleep
I was suddenly awakened and
so scared that I did weep.
A song revived lost memories,
transporting me back in time,
by creating a vivid picture,
so perfect, in detail and rhyme.
I shook as the dream started fading,
and the music, no more, could I hear.
I had seen you with so much clarity,
and felt so moved that you chose to appear.
