He fills his mind with a million things
and follows each job through to the
smallest detail. Being both pernickety
and a perfectionist, he still lives in a
regimented world of orderliness, otherwise
his mind would drift back to the past-
and that wouldn’t do!
If I’d only known when I was with you,
how much I’d miss you when you were gone.
I’d have much more enjoyed our quality time,
and this burden wouldn’t have weighed a ton.
No bragging rights now
No influence or push
No power to the elbow
No adrenaline rush.
If you’re a lucky person
and win a fortune you will find,
that if you tell, you’ll have the world
at your door, all neatly lined.
Soldier on the front line
So young and brave is he.
With a fearless vulnerability
Please god, bring him home to me.
There comes a time
to set aside boyish dreams,
and take on a princess
to share your schemes.
There comes a time
and that time is now,
so from adolescence
take a bow.
Check and double check,
and then just check some more.
The numbers change so rapidly,
as prices seem to soar.

We learn from animals
the power of the unspoken word.
Why is it the intelligentsia have
no knowledge of common sense?
Instead of choosing an open door,
they prefer to head-butt the fence..
It’s too late to think laterally
when horizontal you lay.
It’s too soon to celebrate the harvest
until you’ve gathered in the hay.
