I could take on the world but what’s the use

Of all this fighting and abuse?

I might just do it in a minute.

I could escape to a world and never come back,

Or even die from a heart attack.

I might just do it in a minute.

I could linger a while, in some back alley,

Grinning inanely and acting pally.

I might just do it in a minute.

I could be King Kong and beat my chest

On top of a building, away from the rest.

I might just do it in a minute

I could slump to the floor where I’ve been before

And ask forgiveness just once more.

I might just do it in a minute

I could book myself into a rehab place

And once again look myself in the face.

I might just do it in a minute

I could rediscover my self-esteem

And turn this nightmare into a dream.

I might just do it in a minute

I could go to sleep for a million years

Because no-one out there really cares,

I might just do it in a minute.
